4.The other end of the rope is in tension spring (with rope buckle), In a way not affecting the normal use, using tightener to pull the rope tension on both sides, and to ensure that tension is balanced on both sides.

The drum is fixed aslope on the main frame. Motor, reducer and drum are connected by a coupling, and the driving drum rotates around an axis. The rotation of the material in the drum makes the blocked material bounce out of the aperture, preventing the mesh blocking.

The shaftless trommel screen is installed horizontally. Generally, the rotate speed of the drum of motor wheel gear or motor chain is very slow, and the length of the drum can be designed longer to increase the screening efficiency. There is a delivery plate inside the drum, which can make the material move forward. The material which is larger than mesh size will be discharged at the end outlet, and the material which is smaller than mesh size will be discharged at the bottom discharge hopper. If the material is household garbage, a cutting tool is also can be added to rive some plastics bags, etc.

Shaftless trommel screen is usually used for screening material with small density, such as: waste, wooden chips, activated carbon, fertilizer, construction material, chemical material, etc.

How to operate and Maintain of Buried Scraper Conveyor?

There are some options about that:

1、Should not stop the machine with load if there is no special condition.
Generally,we should stop the equipment  when the material in the trough were discharged completely after we stop feeding the material.
2、It should be no-load running for a certain time when start the equipment every time, Then feed the material after  the equipment working normally. We should keep feeding the material evenly, sudden feeding or over-load running is not allowed.
3、If the whole production line is consist of sets of conveyor, we should
start the last set first when start the whole system, then start the others one by one . The order will be opposite when stops.
4、During operating, we should protect the conveyor from the iron, large hard objects and impurities to avoid damage the equipment.
5、In general, the buried scraper conveyor should be minor repair every half year, medium repair every year and overhaul every three years. For overhaul the buried scraper conveyor, we should remove and clean all the spare part, replace all the wear part. For the motor and reducer, should be maintained and repaired according to their technical requirement.
6、Should keep all the bearing and driven device lubricated well. However, should not lubricate the conveyor chain, support guide rail, head wheel and tail wheel etc.

How to Resolve Chain Deviation of Buried Scraper Conveyor

1. Check installation quality and take measures to correct mounting dimensions.

1) Check and adjust the flange connections between conveyor casings, make sure the connections are smooth and tightly sealed.

2) Adjust the clearance between chain and conveyor trough. The appropriate clearance value will guarantee the conveyor to operate normally, reduce energy consumption, extend the service life of chain scraper & conveyor trough, and improve transport efficiency.

3) Check and adjust the surface flatness of guide rail. The joints between guide rails should be smooth.

4) Check and adjust head and tail pulleys, which should be on one center line and correct meshing.

5) Correct and replace the deformed scrapers.

6) Repair and replace the worn-out guide rails.

7) Adjust the tension device, make sure the elastic of chain & scraper is moderate, and the tensile force of left and right sides are the same.

2. Adjust material drop point.
Material impact is one of important factors that cause chain deviation. The solution is to install a retaining plate at the inlet. In this case, the material will fall in the middle position of scraper & chain to make sure the chain will be uniformly forced, so as to reduce chain deviation.

3. Install baffle plates on both sides of the chains to prevent deviation phenomenon.

Belt sway switch is used to check the belt running deviation of the belt conveyor, it is a safe protection device of automatic alarm and stop when the belt running deviation appears.Belt sway switch is fixed on the conveyor belt bracket, action bar is at the side of the belt, when the belt running deviation appears, force the action bar deviation, and touch the alarm micro switch. 1. Belt sway switch should be located on both sides of the conveyor belt, the vertical roll should be vertical with conveyor belt edge flat, and both sides of the conveyor belt are located at 1/3 height of vertical roll.
2.The distance between the vertical roll of belt sway switch and the normal position of conveyor belt should be 50 ~ 100 mm.
3.The quantity of belt sway switch ought to be determined according to the length of the conveyor, types and arrangement. Asbestos consists of fibre bundle which is made of long and thin fibres. Due to its highly fire-resistance, electric insulation and heat-resistance, asbestos tape can be widely used in sealing materials of various machines or other asbestos products.
Because of high requirements about installation quality of bucket elevators, we usually adopt asbestos tape as its common sealing material. Asbestos tape can not only prevent dust leakage and protect environment, but also reduce material waste. During the real installation, asbestos tape must be positioned in the connection of casing flanges. Before connecting flanges, please add the asbestos tape in the connections and then fix the bolts. The casing is designed to U type with a top cover which can be dismounted. It can be closed type or open type according to the working condition. For example: The following engineering drawing is a limestone production line of our Philippine client which consist of U type screw conveyor, bucket elevator and vibrating screen etc. U type screw conveyor is installed under the vibrating screen machine, which will transport different particle size material to the downstream machine. Here we suggest U type screw conveyor, the reasons are 1) Separately horizontally transport and transporting with 10 degree angle; 2) The limestone material is very abrasive, the top cover is easy to disassemble to change the screw blade and other wear parts, convenient to maintain; 3) Top cover has a better sealing, and it is easy to connect the dust collector etc.

The structure is pipe type with special gearbox, the rotate speed is faster than common conveyor. Then can achieve angle more than 60 degree. The “Aker solutions” purchased 18 sets LSY model screw conveyor for a cement production line which are installed under the cement silo. How to Select and Install Screen Cloth of Linear Vibrating Screen

The selection and installation of screen cloth is very important for linear vibrating screen. Select the most suitable screen cloth and install it according to correct way can improve the performance and prolong the service life of the linear vibrating screen.
1. How to select the most suitable screen cloth?
a. Because it is complicated for screen cloth installation of linear vibrating screen, we should select the screen cloth with thicker wire diameter.
b. While cutting screen cloth, we should keep the width of screen cloth consistent with the mesh frame, length should be 50-70mm longer than mesh frame.
2. How to install the screen cloth of linear vibrating screen?
a. Since the tensity of screen cloth will affect the screen efficiency directly, we should keep the screen cloth tension during installing the screen cloth.
b. Please confirm whether needs to add the bouncing balls according to mesh size and difficulty level of the screened material.
c. We should add suitable supported mesh size under the screen cloth if the mesh of the screen cloth is high or bulk density of the material is big.
d. While install the pressing plate, we should keep the flatness of the plate and line with strong scalability sponge sealing to lock it uniformly.
e. After completing installation, we should test the condition of feeding material and screening with few materials. If materials run forward uniformly, classify accurately without mixing phenomenon,linear vibrating screen can be used well. If not, we should adjust the linear vibrating screen mesh and test again.

If the belt conveyor length is more than 80m, main resistance will be influenced by device condition, friction coefficient related to real working condition, conveyor length, rotating quality in unit length of roller, belt quality, material property, etc.

How to prolong lifespan of belt conveyor

Quality of belt is the main reason to impact on belt conveyor lifespan, so it must purchase the belt with high quality. Meanwhile, it should make sure that sweeper is reliable to use so that there is no material on the return belt. Otherwise, materials adhered to return belt will be taken to the surface of drive pulley and bend pulley, then it will damage belt and reduce its lifespan.
There are some problems in the use of belt conveyors sometimes, to which require you to pay attention that you can greatly extend the service life of belt conveyor.
1. If there is the phenomenon of belt slipping on drive pulley, users should find the reasons and adjust it promptly.
2. Please always check the belt connectors, if there is local damage, please repair it or replace conveyors joints.
3. Please check rollers using conditions regularly. Adding proper lubricating grease into sealing ring when making maintenance. And replace inflexible rotating rollers immediately.
4. It must add good quality lubrication into all rotating parts of belt conveyor. Please add lubrication at fixed period in accordance with the requirements.
5. Please ensure that the cleaning device has good working conditions, and the damaged components should be replaced.
6. Please check tension level of belt conveyor regularly. If the belt is loose, please tension it promptly and observe whether the belt is off tracking, otherwise it should be adjusted timely.

The application of conveyor belt fluid coupling

Fluid coupling is a used fluid transmission component. Motor drives coupling pump wheel rotation, pump impeller blade agitates intracavitary working liquid, under the centrifugal effect,pump wheel turns mechanical energy into liquid energy, then passes to the turbine blades, turbine passes the absorbent liquid energy to the machine.
Fluid coupling has the function of flexible transmission,slow down the impact and the isolation of torsional vibration, prolong the start-up time, reduce the starting current,make the motor light load start-up, solve the problem of heavy large inertia load start-up difficulties and protect the motor when overloads, energy and power saving effects are remarkable.
On the conveyor, fluid coupling has the function of connecting motor and reducer ,it replaces the mechanical coupling. The belt conveyor fluid coupling has two effects:
1.Overload protection
If the belt conveyor is overload, fluid coupling slip frequency increases, working fluid warms up, fluid coupling will spray without burning motor to a certain temperature. Of course sometimes coupling will be installed with a temperature control device, when work liquid superheats, temperature control device can control the motor and cut the power cut to protect the motor.
2. Flexible-start
When motor starts,belt conveyor starts slowly and acceleratedly , this can reduce the grid big impact to make the motor start up in light load. At the same time,it can reduce the effect of belt tension,protect belt and prolong life, especially under the heavy load start-up.

Difference between forging and casting of scraper chain machining process

Forging and casting is commonly used in the mechanical processing of scraper chain, but do you know the differences? Today, PK Machinery will introduce it in details.
Forging is a processing method which uses the forging machinery occurs pressure to metal blank, make it produce plastic deformation to obtain a certain mechanical properties, a certain shape and dimension.
Casting is the process thatmakes the metal melt into a certain requirements of liquid and pour into the mold, after cooling, solidification, and cleaning the whole process to obtainwith a predetermined shape, size and performance of the casting (parts or blanks).
Generally forging chain mechanical properties are generally better than the same kind of casting chain, but the cost is higher. Although the cost of casting is low, but the production needs more materials and equipment, it will produce dust, harmful gases and noise which will pollute the environment, so we will choose forging chain as the traction component of scraper conveyor in most cases.
