How to Select the Driven Device for Linear Vibrating Screen ?

Linear vibrating screen can achieve dry and wet screening,and also can achieve automation work on the working site. Here PK Machinery will talk about the driven device selection for linear vibrating screen.
With regard to the material like ceramic, food, etc with small density,capacity and vibrating screen model, generally the screen surface length is <3000mm, screen surface width is <1200mm, and the weight of the vibrating screen is relative light, under such circumstances, the driven device of 2 sets vibrating motors rotate oppositely at the same time will be adopted. Motor installation on the bottom, upside or both sides of the screen equipment can be optional.

While the material like coal, mineral, building material, etc with large density, capacity and the required vibrating screen model, generally the screening surface length is >3600mm, screen surface width is >1500mm, and the weight is heavy. Under such circumstances, the driven device of 2 sets motors drive 2 sets vibrating exciter will be adopted. Vibrating exciters will rotate in different directions which can be installed on the bottom or the upside, then produce vibrating exciting force to achieve screening.

Solution to trommel screen mesh blockage of Kazakhstan customer

Our Kazakhstan customer told us that the trommel screen he purchased two months ago occurred blockage during the operation process which makes the screening efficiency very poor. After communication,we found out the blockage was caused by the high humidity material, here engineers gives some solutions accordingly to prevent blockage:

1.Add an automatic cleaning brush on screen which can achieve automatic cleaning during operation. 

2.Add an air compressors, since sand is slightly damp, so cleaning purpose can be achieved by air force.

3. Add an anti blocking device, due to the high frequency and small force of vibration impact, it can clean up the blockage efficiently.

In addition, textile screen mesh made of 16Mn can also adopted to ensure material pass through the mesh smoothly.

What should we notice when use linear vibrating screen for the first time

Firstly, check if there is bolt looseness of the linear vibrating screen.
Secondly, remove four fixed plates of all the springs on the linear vibrating screen in order to protect the machine from scratch during transportation process.
Thirdly, read the manual carefully and check the components before testing the linear vibrating screen.
Besides,please also note the following important notes:
1.Since vibration motor works continuously, it needs to be filled with oil regularly .
2.Check if there is screen mesh damage when the machine stops working.
3.As some users may choose wood net rack, please also check if there is screen frame damage. Compared with steel net rack, the wood net rack is easy to replace screen mesh,however, the life span is much shorter. 

What is impact of different materials on screw conveyor?

 Screw conveyor design depends on the parameters, however,these parameters depend on the required conveying material, thus, the screw conveyor engineer recommends will be a suitable equipment to convey materials, which can achieve the best possible conveying capacity.

Conveying capacity is one of the most important target to measure the production efficiency of screw conveyor. Generally speaking, the fast rotated speed of screw shaft can improve the production of conveyor.On the contrary, the low rotated speed will reduce the production. However, during the operation, the rotated speed should not be too high,otherwise material will be thrown outward due to the large centrifugal force, it will cause material cannot be conveyed, so the speed of the screw conveyor must be set in a certain value. 

Generally speaking, according to the material properties, materials can divided into four categories. The first category: material with good flow ability, lighter and non abrasion; The second category: material without abrasion,however the flow ability is worse; The third kinds of size scale and liquidity with second near the mill, but larger cut materials. The fourth class is illiquid and the fierce cut grinding material.

The Application and Arrangement of Mechanized Silo

There are two kinds of Mechanized silo for bulk material: agricultural silo and industrial silo. Agricultural silo is used to store food, feed and other granular or powdered materials. While industrial silo is to store coke, cement, salt, sugar and other bulk materials.
The discharging hopper is always installed at the bottom of the mechanized silo, the upstream is equipped with conveying equipment. When loading materials, the bulk materials will be lifted by the bucket elevator and then discharged into the horizontal belt conveyor, the belt conveyor conveys the bulk material to the silo. When discharging material, the bulk materials will be discharged to the downstream through the dump hopper,then conveyed by the horizontal belt conveyor to other place.

 
 

The flat shape of silo includes square, rectangle, polygon and circular, etc. When the storage material is single species or the amount is small, independent silo or a single row layout can be adopted. When storage materials has many species, silos in groups can be arranged. The total length of the cylinder silo group is generally not more than 60 meters, the total length of the square silo group is generally not more than 40 meters. Appropriate measures should be taken when there is large silo group length or wall force and complex ground situation, such as setting a expansion joint in order to eliminate the shrinkage stress of concrete and temperature stress effects, setting a settlement joint to avoid uneven settlement influence due to huge load difference from different parts of the structure itself or the bearing capacity of foundation soil have obvious differences, setting an earthquake cracks in order to reduce earthquake damage.

Installation and Commissioning of YA Circular Vibrating Screen

1.Before installation,please refer to the installation drawing of concrete foundation, embedded anchor bolts or embedded steel plate ,the flatness error should be less than 3mm.
2.After the completion of installation, please check and adjust the levels of spring to make sure supporting position is under uniform stress. The motor axis should be 3-5mm lower than the axis of the vibrator, the height of support spring symmetric point should be equal (error ≤ 3 mm).
3. Each part of the vibrating screen should be firmly connected, all bolts should be tightened before start running.
4. Adjust the eccentric vibrator angle which can realize the adjustment of the excitation force, so as to adjust the amplitude of vibrating screen.
5. The distance between the vibrating screen and other obstacles should be less than 100mm.

What should be done when operate and maintain Circular Vibrating Screen?

1. Please check if the bolts are loose or not before the startup of circular vibrating screen, if any looseness,please tighten timely.

2. Running without load for 4 to 6 hours to achieve smooth running of screen body , the vibrator bearing temperature is ≤75℃.
3.After non-load running, please tighten the screw bolt again.
4.Check the fastening condition of the bolts regularly once the operation becomes normal.
5.Check the wearing parts frequently, the damping spring which is damaged or without elasticity,please replace at once. If fracture or wear occur to screen, please tighten or replace the spring timely. Please check the vibration source instructions to adjust,use and maintain the vibration source.

6.Stop the machine after the material on screen surface are completely discharged.

What Reasons Lead to Screw Conveyor Blade Damage

Generally speaking, screw conveyor is not easy to occur blocking phenomenon in the outlet, it can run at a low speed, reduce the energy consumption, design with a long conveying distance. However, when convey life garbage and organic plant, it may cause the damage of screw blade.
Thicker spiral blade will be anti- wear and durable, it is suitable for conveying materials, screw blade mainly wears in the blade edge.The farther the screw blade away from the axis of rotation, the larger the force it will bear and the more the cracks it will form.

What Should We Pay Attention to the Selection of Vibrating Screen Coupling

Vibrating screen coupling is commonly used in mechanical transmission components. It is used to put two shaft coupling together, a component which cannot separate with rotation and transmission torque of two shafts when the vibrating screen is running; only after the machine stop and after joint apart, two shafts can be separated. Coupling is a kind of standard part, when using we can choose coupling according to the requirements of national standards and the using requirements.

 

Due to the manufacturing and installation error, two shafts of coupling connection may occur deformation after bearing and the influence of temperature change, often cannot guarantee strict centring, however, there is some degree of relative displacement. So choose cross coupling between the reducer and the clutch, oldham coupling is composed of two end surface fluted half coupling and the middle plate of protruding teeth both sides. Because convex teeth can slide in groove, so it can compensate for the relative displacement between the two shafts in installation and operation. This kind material of coupling parts can be available for 45# steel, work surface needs heat treatment to improve its hardness. It is also available for Q275 steel when the requirement is lower, no heat treatment is required. In order to reduce friction and tear, when using we should lubricate from the oil hole in the middle.
Because sliding pair is consist of half coupling and the middle plate, which can't occur relative rotation, therefore, angular velocity of the drive shaft and the driven shaft should be equal. But when there are relative displacement between the two shafts, middle plate will generate a lot of centrifugal force, which will increase the dynamic load and wear. Therefore when we choose coupling, we should pay attention to that working speed shall not be greater than the specified value. 

Application of Pickling Technology in Stainless Steel Screw Conveyor

Those days, our Philippine customer ordered stainless steel U type screw conveyors. Taking texture of material into consideration, we make a acid pickling and passivation fabrication processing to screw conveyor. Here PK Machinery will introduce you the application of pickling technology.
In the machining process of stainless steel, it will present scale cinder with black or yellow color. In order to improve appearance and stain resistance of stainless steel, it’s better to make a acid pickling and passivation fabrication treatment after processing it. Through this kind of technology processing, it can remove scale cinder which caused by weld or high-temperature processing and make it brighter. And it also can generate oxidation film that will prevent stainless steel from oxygen corrosion again so that can improve anti corrosion quality of stainless steel products and extend machine’s lifespan.

 

What is pickling technology? It is a way to clean metallic surface which adopts acid solution to remove scale cinder or corrosion sediments on stainless steel surface. Metallic surface will become silver-white color and be passivated after pickling. At the same, it can improve anti-corrosion capacity of stainless steel. At the present stage, it always takes long time to remove scale cinder by pickling and causes high processing cost. Taking this situation into consideration, users have better adopt quick pickling process in a normal temperature. This way can have a good influence on corrosion sediments and eliminate thick scale cinder quickly. Also, it can make metallic surface brighter and undefiled after pickling. What’s more, metallic surface will be not easy to have gloss loss, color fading or yellow discolouration. 

Follow the Right Operation of Fixed Belt Conveyor, Otherwise Accident will Occur

1.Fixed belt conveyor should be fixed in accordance with the specified installation methods on the foundation;
2.Before start-up ,please check all the moving parts of belt conveyor, such as if belt buckles and bearing device is normal, if the protective device is complete, if the belt tensioning condition is adjusted properly before start-up;
3. Fixed belt conveyor should no-load start up, only when operation is normal, can you feed the material, feed material before starting up the conveyor is not allowed;
4. when units of belt conveyor operate in series, please start from the discharged end in order, only when the operation is normal ,can you feed the material;

 

5. When belt deviation appeared in the operation of the belt conveyor, please stop the conveyor and adjust timely, so as not to wear edges and increase the load;
6. The work environment and material temperature should not be higher than 50℃ and lower than -10 ℃;
7. The conveyor must not convey people, and people is not allowed to stand under the conveyor;
8. Stop feeding material before stopping the conveyor, only after stored materials are discharged completely you can stop the conveyor;
9. Belt conveyor motor must be in good insulation;
10.Do not use your hand to pull the belt in order to avoid accidents when belt slips. 

What's the Special Role of Vibrating Screen Bouncing Ball?

When the vibrating screen works, have you ever noticed that the bouncing balls beat up and down on the sieve mesh? Why this phenomenon occurs on the sieve mesh? What's special role of bouncing ball? Today we will take a brief look.
These bouncing balls are an essential part of vibrating screening machines.Its role is beating the sieve mesh up and down avoid adhesion material blocking the sieve mesh which can improve screening efficiency and accuracy.

Bouncing balls are generally divided into different diameters: φ10, φ15, φ20, φ25, φ28, φ30, φ40, φ50, φ60 and so on, commonly used ones are φ25 and φ28 , φ40, φ50and φ60 mainly used for mine vibrating screen.
According to the material,bouncing ball can be classified into several types: rubber ball, silicone ball, PTFE ball bouncing, according to different materials of bouncing balls, the application and function is also different.
Natural rubber bouncing ball：it is suitable for general material screening process;
Silicone bouncing ball：good elasticity., mainly used for food, medicine and other materials screening;
PTFE bouncing ball : It can soak in the oil , mainly applied to oily liquid materials screening.
The bouncing balls should be selected based on different material properties to meet customer requirements in different conditions. Though bouncing ball is a small accessory, it is the key to solve the problem of screening.

Follow the recommended installation matters to prolong bucket lifter service life

Don’t trying to complain the short life span of bucket elevator,follow the matters that our engineer suggests as follows:

1.The bucket lifter must be fixed on a concrete foundation firmly in order to ensure well-installed bucket lifter can achieve vertical requirements. For higher height bucket lifter, the upper and middle casing should be connected with the neighbouring buildings to increase its stability. For lower height bucket lifter , please connect the upper ,middle and lower casing well first on the ground, then hang the whole set vertically and fix it on the concrete foundation.

2. After the installation of casing, please install the chain bucket. The utype screw which is used for connect the buckets, it is not only a chain connector, but also a fixture of buckets. Utype nuts must be tightened and locked firmly, after installing the chain and bucket, please adjust it to a proper tension. 

3.Add a proper amount of oil or grease in the gearbox and bearing respectively, reducer should be lubricated with industrial gear oil, bearing seat can be lubricated with calcium or sodium base grease.

What Screen is Used in the Feed Industry--the Gyratory Screen

At present, most feed manufacturers need to sieve and grade the powder material ,granular feed, and the intermediate products after secondary crushing.
