Introduction of Motor IP Grade :The Meaning of First Number

Motor IP (INGRESS PROTECTION) grade system is drafted by IEC (INTERNATIONAL ELECTROTECHNICAL COMMISSION ).IP grade is composed of two numbers, the first number represents for anti-invasion grade of external objects and dust, the second the number shows that the sealing degree of anti- invasion of moisture and water, if the number is greater, the degree of protection will be higher.
0: no special protection
1: it can prevent external objects with solid diameter larger than 50 mm entering into the casing.
2: it can prevent external objects with solid diameter larger than12 mm entering into the casing.
3: it can prevent external objects with solid diameter larger than 2.5 mm entering into the casing.
4: it can prevent external objects with solid diameter larger than 1 mm entering into the casing.

Common Troubleshooting Methods of Vibration Motor

1. after connect the power supply, motor is unable to start, please check:
(1) if power supply is lack of phase;
(2) if motor is loss of phase;
(3) if protective cover is damaged or rub eccentric block.
2. after start-up, there is big motor noise or motor heats, please check:
(1) if the contact surface roughness of vibration machine and motor foundation is in line with the installation requirements;
(2)if the anchor bolts are not tighten up ;
(3) if the vibration acceleration is in line with the requirements;

3. after the adjustment of eccentric block, amplitude changes abnormally please check:
If eccentric block on both ends of the rotor axis is symmetrical;
4. when two vibrating motors of vibration machine vibrate at the same time, if its phase does not conform to the requirements, please adjust the phase sequence of the single unit, don't adjust the total phase sequence of two vibrating motors.

► Operation and Maintenance:
      A.Problems occurring in Vibratory Feeders
Four basic malfunctions that bring attention to vibratory feeders need to be concern:
    1.Declining feed rate due to low amplitude. This will occur gradually over a period of time.
    2.A dead spot in the bowl – parts will not feed past a certain point in the bowl, even though they are moving elsewhere in the bowl.
    3.Intermittent operation. The feeder will spontaneously run at excessive amplitude or possibly no amplitude without apparent cause. Included in this category is for a feeder not to work at all.
    4.Noise from the vibrating feeder.

       B.Overhaul and Readjustment of Vibratory Feeders
   Here are the methods to solve the problems:
       1.Remove the bowl, and clean the mating surfaces between the bowl and the top casting of the base.
      These surfaces can accumulate dirt, sometimes, and other material that will make it difficult to draw the bowl tightly down on the top casting of the base. These surfaces should be flat and clean. Using emery paper or a flat file is adequate to recondition the surface.
      2.Operating on one bank of springs at a time, loosen the springs top and bottom and remove them.
      Both ends of each springs, as well as the spacers and mounting surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned with either emery paper, a wire brush or glass bead shot peened.
    3.Examine each spring for cracks and corrosion
The cracks will always occur adjacent to the hole punched in either end, on this type of spring. Sometimes these cracks are not visible to the naked eye, and a simple test is to hit the spring on something solid (dropping it on the floor). Usually this will cause the spring to break thru.
    - Any pitted springs or spaces should be replaced.
    - Reassemble the springs and spaces in the manner in which they were prior to disassembly.
    - Draw up the screw snug.
    - Do this on each remaining banks of springs.

What is the Applicable Material for Drum Screen

How to Maintain Vibrating Screen in Summer

Silicon Carbide Rotary Vibrating Screen Site Operation Feedback from Iran Client

We were delighted to receive the feedback from Iran Client concerning the site operation of rotary vibrating screen which was ordered in the year of 2014.

The rotary vibrating screen was designed for 3~5t/h capacity of silicon carbide, the density is 2-3.2 g/cm3,water content:2~5%,material size:<1mm,as per the screening material, our engineer selected 3 units of XZ1200 rotary vibrating screen with 3 layers to meet the requirement, the material of screen mesh is SUS304,mesh size of 1st: 0.106mm, 0.075mm, 0.063mm;mesh size of 2nd unit: 0.18mm,0.15mm, 0.125mm;mesh size of 3rd unit: 0.3mm,0.25mm, 0.212mm.

Iran client said that they were quite pleased with the machine, both the screening efficiency and screening accuracy were higher than the vibrating screen they ever used. ► Operation and Maintenance
      A.Maintenance of Vibration Motors of the Linear Vibrating Screen
The Linear Vibrating Screen requires limited preventive maintenance. However, there are a few steps to follow to ensure years of trouble free service. In general, you need to complete a common sense inspection of the structure, vibration motors, etc. on a daily basis. Daily inspection on the screens for wear or holes is needed. If damages occur, repair or replace as necessary. The vibrator motors must be greased with lubricating oil. Over greasing causes overheating of the bearings and this must be avoided. Besides, use only prescribed grease in vibrator motor. If different grease is used, vibrator can be damaged and warranty will be voided. Use only prescribed amount of grease to lubricate vibrator. Too much grease will cause the bearings to overheat and result in premature bearing failure.

      B.Precautions during the Installation of Screening Mesh on Linear Vibrating Screen
The process during installation of screening mesh on linear vibrating screen is very important as it will affect the durability and the operation function of the mesh. Here are the precautions during the installation and choosing of screening mesh:
      1.The coarser the diameter of the screening mesh, the better the screening efficiency. Coarser diameter of screening mesh is preferable as the process during the installation of screening mesh is more tedious.
      2.While cutting the screening mesh, make sure that the width of the screening mesh and the mesh frame is consistent. The length of the screening mesh must exceed 50 to 70 mm compare to the mesh frame.
      3.During the process of installation, make sure that the screening mesh is tightening as this will affect the screening efficiency.
      4.While installing the cleaning mesh device with the bouncing balls, the difficulty of screening efficiency and the size of screening mesh must be consider. 
      5.If there is large quantity of materials and if the size of screening mesh is larger, supporting net should be installed under the screening mesh. This is for supporting purposes by reducing the pressure on the screening mesh. Besides, this will prolong the life span of the screening mesh.
      6.After the mesh frame assemble with the screen box of the vibrating screen, remember to slip the extra part of the screening mesh into the discharge port in order to avoid mixing of materials.
      7.During the installation of the platen, pay attention of the flatness of the platen. Then, use the foam sealing tape to seal it. This is to prevent mixing of materials and to extend the life span of the screening mesh.
      8.After that, conduct the screening test by using some materials. Make sure that the movement of the materials is in linear motion while the machine is working. If problems occur, checks whether the screening mesh is being tighten or not.  

      C.Malfunction Analysis of the Linear Vibrating Screen
The principle of the operation of Linear Vibrating Screen is very simple. But, due to time consuming, malfunction of the machine will happen. There are five common malfunction of linear vibrating screen:
      1.Linear vibrating screen might not operate or the vibration amplitude is too low. If you are facing this kind of situations, check the accessibility of the motor and make sure that the voltage of the electrical circuit element is in a normal condition. Besides, you need to make sure that there is no over accumulation of materials on the screen surface. Check the exciter coupling bolts. If the bolts loosed, tighten it. Check whether the grease is caking or not. At the same time, you can clean the overhaul shaker and then adjust the position of the eccentric shaft or the vice eccentric position.
      2.Uneven spreading of materials on the screen surface. This might be cause by low rigidity of the screen box, and loosening of the coupling bolts. Besides that, the horizontal screen box is unable to identify. The problem might be cause by the malfunction of the spring supporting seat and the spring. This problem can be settled by changing a new spring or change the bearing size. Other than that, uneven spreading of the materials might be cause by damage of the screening mesh. Change the screening mesh will do. 
      3.Poor sieving efficiency due to improper operation procedure. Clogging of materials on the sieving mesh and increase in the water content of the materials might reduce the sieving efficiency. Increase in the quantity of the fine materials will affect the sieving efficiency too. Another problem that causes poor sieving efficiency is the screening mesh. Both sides of the screening mesh must tighten. 
      4.Rotation of the linear vibrating slowed down and heat up the bearing. If this kind of situation happened, grease or lubricating oil should be applied. If same thing happen again after the grease oil is added, this might be cause by the quality of the grease oil. Bad quality of grease oil will cause the bearing to jam. 

      5.Cracking at the side wall of the linear vibrating screen, beams broken, damage of some structural part. These usually happened due to long working hours of the
